Fifty percent of my time is spent in my hammock, the other fifty percent is spent carrying things that weigh more than me, that pretty much sums up my life in Panama. Half the time it rains and I dont dare get out of my hammock, i am not talking about a sprinkle or drizzle, i am talking about a deafening roar that would put a pride of lions to shame. That is when you just pick up a book and lose yourself for at least four hours on end. When the rain has passed I can usually expect a visitor requesting that i come help him carry lumber or pull a two thousand pound wooden boat. So that is what i spend the rest of the day. Sometimes i am invited to row distances that most planes cant travel on a full tank of gas, and catch fish that want to eat me more than i want to eat them, ie barracuda. I would have to say that at least twenty percent of my day is devoted to not understanding what people are saying to me, which are usually followed by hand motions that would confuse a major league first base coach. But all in all i do pretty well, when it is good it cant get any better and when it is bad it cant get any worse. I usually try and find the middle gound which is fried red snapper and a sore back.

There is more to come at a later date, but for mow the AC is freezing my toes and nose, sorry for the short blog and the hiatus but for now it will have to do.
